Last weekend, I got to speak at the 2nd Social Media Insiders workshop: Capturing with The Insiders. The Social Media Insiders is a networking / workshop event series organized by Giselle Rivera-Flores and Jaime Flores. The first Outsiders event was in November and focused on using social media to build an audience. This event was all about photography.
(Thank you to our fabulous host, Figs & Pigs)
Clark University student, Zohaib Bilal, played music for us while everyone did some networking.
Chris Chabot, owner of Helimounts, gave us an overview of extreme videography.
Jaime Flores presented some tips on streetscapes and photographing architecture.
We had a Cupcake photography contest. Participants took photos of Nuggets Delights cupcakes and posted to Instagram.
My small part
I spoke about phone photography and how to capture images for blogs and social media. I posted links to the apps I spoke about on my photography blog: angleofview.com. Thank you to Giselle, Jaime and their team for organizing. Thank you to everyone who came out to the event. I can’t wait for the next one.
